The Royal Concertgebouw is considered one of the most important concert halls in the world because of its unparalleled acoustics and broad, high-quality programming. The concert hall has a great tradition of legendary concerts by many musical giants.

With more than 900 activities (almost 80 percent of which are concerts) and over 700,000 visitors to concerts, educational projects and private events each year, the Concertgebouw is one of the most visited concert halls in the world. Since its foundation, the Concertgebouw has been a privately financed arts institution with a rich tradition of (concert) sponsorship and fundraising. The Concertgebouw is responsible for 95% of its own income.
