About Big Sounds

Big music = Big fun! That’s what Big Sounds Amsterdam is all about. This biennial festival highlights large ensembles playing adventurous music. Music that allows for improvisation, bold ideas and otherworldly sounds. In this new era for large ensemble music, Big Sounds is at the international forefront. From 1 till 12 october 2025, Big Sounds will be heard all over Amsterdam!

Big Sounds Amsterdam is a collaboration between Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw, Bimhuis, Meervaart, the Concertgebouw, Paradiso, ZO Jazz Stage, Kompaszaal, Felix Meritis and the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
