Join the A-Mee-Zing Big Band on sunday 5 october

Are you passionate about singing? Join the A-Mee-Zing Big Band and sing your heart out at this vocal Big Band directed by professional jazzvocalists Anna Serierse & Nina Rompa. With the A-Mee-Zing Big Band we will build a big band that consists of voices only. During a full day of workshop and rehearsals at the Concertgebouw, we will prepare for a final concert at the end of the day. Are you passionate about singing? Who can join?
Both amateur and professional vocalists are welcome. The main goal of the A-Mee-Zing Big Band is to have FUN and sing together in harmony, in the figurative and literal sense.

Do I need to prepare anything?
Audio recordings and sheet music for the individual voices will be available online mid-September so you can practice your part. The workshop/rehearsal and final concert will take place on October 5th in the Choir Hall of the Concertgebouw as part of Big Sounds Amsterdam!

What are we going to sing?
Splanky - Count Basie Orchestra
Lil Darlin’ - Count Basie Orchestra
Moanin’ - Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers

Is there a fee to participate?
We ask a small contribution for this project to cover the costs. Coffee and tea will be available during breaks. 
<26 years old = €15,-
>26 years old= €25,-

When and where does this take place? 
The workshop, rehearsal, and final concert are all on sunday October 5th, 2025, in the Choir Hall of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. This is a one-off project and focused on one day only.
