The A-Mee-Zing Big Band directed by Anna Serierse & Nina Rompa

Are you passionate about singing? Join the A-Mee-Zing Big Band and sing your heart out at this vocal Big Band directed by professional jazzvocalists Anna Serierse & Nina Rompa. With the A-Mee-Zing Big Band we will build a big band that consists of voices only. During a full day of workshop and rehearsals at the Muziekgebouw, we will prepare for a final concert at the end of the day. Sign up and join the A-Mee-Zing Big Band on sunday October 5th 2025 in the Muziekgebouw, during Big Sounds Amsterdam, festival for Large Ensembles.

Who can join?
Both amateur and professional vocalists are welcome. The main goal of the A-Mee-Zing Big Band is to have FUN and sing together in harmony, in the figurative and literal sense.

Do I need to prepare anything?
Audio recordings and sheet music for the individual voices will be available online mid-September so you can practice your part. The workshop/rehearsal and final concert will take place on October 5th in the Atrium of the Muziekgebouw as part of Big Sounds Amsterdam!

Moanin’ - Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers

Is there a fee to participate?
We ask a small contribution for this project to cover the costs. Coffee and tea will be available during breaks.

When and where does this take place? 
The workshop, rehearsal, and final concert are all on sunday October 5th, 2025, in the Atrium of the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam. This is a one-off project and focused on one day only.
