Brazilian saxophonist Lucas Figueiredo Santana presents new compositions that reflect on the rich and complex history of the African diaspora in Brazil, with his ten-piece Grand Orquestra and two dancers . A concert of ‘great class’ according to de Volkskrant. The performance Candomblé is based on four pillars: Remember, Reflect, Acknowledge and Celebrate. Santana uses these pillars to tell his (musical) stories and to take his audience along in a reflection of the past, present and future in Brazil. At the same time, he celebrates life with Candomblé, in all its complexity and beauty.
